Details
When entering a fair amount of text into a form's textarea, the focus can become
screwed up once the scrollbar is active.
To reproduce this bug, fill a textarea with some text until the vertical
scrollbar kicks in. You should have at least 2 visible box areas worth of stuff.
Now hit return a bunch of times so that your cursor is far away from the text
that you've entered. Now, from another source (xterm window with a man page will
do nicely), highlight a block of text you'd like to paste into the browser textarea.
Paste into the window by middle clicking down at the bottom of the text area
(where your cursor was before). Voila. Your pasted text is not at the end of the
textarea, but jammed somewhere in the middle.
This is a dup of bug 97207. The fix I have for bug 83650 will fix this too.
