SUMO contains support articles to help users get up and running with Persona, such a this one:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-is-persona-and-how-does-it-work
Since we plan to decommission persona.org in November 2016 [1], we should take a look at the Persona material on SUMO and see whether/how to update it to reflect that fact that the service will be going away.
I'm not sure what the best way to update would be, because we'll probably need to keep the articles online while the service is still active. Perhaps we can add something like the deprecation warning notice on MDN [2]?
Joni, can you offer any advice on a good course of action here?

I think a deprecation warning is the best course of action here. We can insert this note on all Persona articles. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/templatepersonaeol. Please let me know if that works (I'm using the same messaging as MDN's, but removed references to developers).
There are four Persona articles that are public right now:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-persona
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/signing-in-using-persona
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/signing-out-using-persona
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-is-persona-and-how-does-it-work
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-manage-my-persona-account
After November 2016, We can also archive the articles so they no longer show up in search engines.
