Whenever I select some text and then try to Print it, i shouldnt have to toggle
the option from "All pages" to "Selection" manually. Its too cumbersome to do it
for say 50 documents.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Just do it :) copyright Nike
are you requesting to have your settings saved?
if that is the case, then maybe this is a DUP of bug 83750

No...i am asking for the combo box (is that what it is called ?) in the
print dialog to become context sensitive.
It has 3 options:
* All pages
* Pages
* Selection
Now when i select some text in the browser and click on the print button, it
should automagically be set to "Selection"
And when i just press print button without selecting text, it should stay at
"All pages"

I disagree. Often times I select text but do not want to print the selection. If
later, I want to print the document, I shouldn't be surprised by seeing just a
paragraph or two.
OTOH, a new bug that would get Mozilla to remember the previous selection would
be one that I would support.

I agree with Andrew in comment 3 - the setting in 'Print range' (that's what it
is on Win32, dunno about other platforms) should be remembered from whatever you
did last time, where possible[*]. This remembered value should be a per-window
setting, not apply to all windows (because of the possibility of remembering an
old value for too long and doing the wrong thing), and should certainly not be
remembered between Mozilla sessions.
[*] This would not be possible in the following cases:
1) Where you selected 'selection' last time but don't have a selection this time.
2) You selected a page range last time that isn't valid for the current document.
In these cases, the setting should default back to 'All pages'.
Marking WONTFIX for the reason Andrew gave. However, please file a new bug for
the above, add me to the CC, and I'll confirm it.
