Build 2002020409: WinXP

Overview: As reported by Terri Preston "I keep trying to edit a list in my
address book and I crash everytime..."

Here is a series of questions/answers from an email correspondence:

1. What address book does the list reside? (Personal Address Book?)
Answer: Yes, Personal Address book
2. Can you edit any other list in the same address book?
Answer: Yes, I can, no problem
3. Can you edit a card?
Answer: Yes, no problem
4. If you create a new address book, then create a list and then edit the list,
does it crash?
Answer: No, it doesn't
5. Have you been using Quick Launch (aka Turbo mode). I've seen in the past that
this sometimes creates problems.
Answer: Yes, I do use turbo mode
6. In a new profile, can you create and edit the list.
Answer: yes
7. What happens if you disable Turbo Mode?
Answer: If I do turn Turbo mode off, I can edit the list

Then today, 2002-02-07, I made more suggestions since it appears to be a Turbo
issue:
8. Could you send me two of your files:
- address book file? If the list resides in your Personal Address Book then the
file is called abook.mab.
- localstore.rdf file

9. Next, try this:
- Make a copy of your address book file and your localstore.rdf file
- Rename your current localstore.rdf file (i.e. localstore.rdf.backup) or just
delete it since you already made a copy of the original file. This file controls
the look of your window, the size of the panes etc...
- Start the application with Turbo turned on. If localstore.rdf is not present
then this file is recreated (you will have to resize windows etc...)
- Now try editing the mail list and let me know what happens

Answer to questions 8 and 9: "I could crash with earlier builds but today it
isn't crashing. Stay tuned, if I find more info., I will let you know."

Ninoschka and Terri, are you able to reproduce this anymore?
Trunk build 2002-04-10: WinMe
I have not experienced the crash when editing mailing lists. Only Terri
experienced this problem. I tried again with today's build and it appears to be
working for me.
Today's commercial build doesn't have working QuickLaunch so I'm not sure we can
draw many conclusions from that. Could this be related to bug 124208 (another
addrbook/quicklaunch problem)?
Terri, are you still seeing this? Can anyone else reproduce it in current builds?
No, I can no longer reproduce this, perhaps it was a bad profile or something,

I took the 4-13 branch build with turbo working and could not reproduce from
scratch this bug. In reading the contents of this bug it appears it was
specific to Terri's profile and since Terri can not reproduce it and marked it
worksforme, I will verify it
