New bugs still find their way into defunct and graveyarded components and then get lost and go nowhere, so keep bugs from falling through the cracks, I'd like to propose that we prevent them from being thrown into those cracks in the first place.
My request is that any simple search or autocomplete of bugzilla components just not return any defunct component or graveyarded component, ever.

We filter out products that are disabled for bug entry from the autocomplete results. It looks like two of the products are not set to disable which I will fix now. Also bugs cannot be moved into graveyard products from the show_bug.cgi page if the products are disabled. We normally move them using our custom scripts.
Can you post a few example bugs where things have snuck into graveyard components that shouldn't have so I can look at the history?
Thanks
dkl

I understand. But normally we do not move products and/or components to the Graveyard classification unless specifically requested to do so. So noone to this point has asked for those in the list to be decommissioned. Please have the product owners to file bugs for the products or components that need to be removed and we can definitely do that.

I've got a master tracking bug for this work, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1243200 which I'm finishing up the subsidiary tickets.

With respect to components showing up in search Nanojit is in Core Graveyard and also shows up in Core. I'll make a separate bug for this.
