Details

(Whiteboard: [gfx-noted])

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0
Build ID: 20160105164030

Steps to reproduce:

Looking at photo's usually (on for example a watch enthusiast forum site)

Actual results:

Seemingly at random (whist doing the above whilst scrolling through a long list of photo's), the browser screen goes dark/blank.... can't scroll up or down out of the problem..

If I window (make it slightly smaller on the desktop) the maximised screen the website contents *always* reappears... and control is regained....I can scroll up and down through the photo's list.
But if I re-maximise the browser .. the browser goes dark/blank again .... and I can't click on any tabs that I may have open.
It has done it when looking at images via google image search too.

Expected results:

I should just be able to scroll up and down through the photo's at will.

This *only happens with this particular computer (a fairly new shuttle ds81 running win 7 32 bit), I have the same browser on a mac and it works flawlessly on the same site...

Hi Milan, sorry I'm unfamiliar with reporting this sort of stuff... do you mean the graphics hardware details?

I actually caught the behaviour on a short video , if it helps , will try and work a way of editing it first
My bad, sorry. Type about:support in the URL bar and scroll down a bit to the "Graphics" section, then just cut and paste everything that's in that section.
Ok will do tomorrow when I'm at the machine in question

Your drivers are very old. A more recent version can be found here:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81497/Intel-HD-Graphics-4400-for-4th-Generation-Intel-Core-Processors

Please update your drivers and retest.
Ok thanks Guys, I have updated graphics and will re-test over next few days and report back soon

Sorry it's took a while to test ,it appeared to be ok

It's just shown itself today again
This sounds extremely similar to the problem I am having. I experience it while watching video on nbcsports.com. Everything will go dark except for the video which is playing. If I click where another tab was displayed before, that tab will be selected and display fine. If I un-maximize the window, it looks fine. As soon as I go back to that tab maximized it is all dark again. This happens consistently about every half hour or so. Here's my graphics info:
