VERIFIED DUPLICATE of bug 3744

People

(Reporter: sspitzer, Assigned: phil)

Details

in 4.5, when you start up messenger for the first time (when you have no prefs)
you get a dialog that says something like:

"The return email address set in Preferences is: sspitzer

This appears to be incomplete (it contains no '@'). Examples of
correct email addresses are 'fred@xyz.com' and 'sue@xzy.gov.au'."

We need this dialog in 5.0

should send them to the profile wizard instead?

Looks like a dup.

Also, in the Windows version of 4.5, if I change my mail identity from
phil@netscape.com to phil, I don't get an error message. Maybe this was only in
the XFE?
