Details

(Whiteboard: dom-triaged)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0
Build ID: 20160122190402

Steps to reproduce:

Onmouseover a flash application, or html5 "player" on Youtube.

Actual results:

The mouse becomes hidden.

Expected results:

The mouse should NEVER become hidden. I want an option to disable this "feature", which I consider a bug.
This is a standard option in Chrome, btw.

Martin, something that should be on your radar (I don't know)?

I'm not sure I understand the use case here perfectly but...

Is it that the user is Onmouseover event and it's triggering mouse lock without asking the users permission. This seems like a bug rather then the intended functionality. My expectation would be that if a site tries this, it would provide the user with a prompt to request permission. I recommend we talk to Jet about this, he lead the recent changes to Fullscreen and would be able to give us some more insight.

I have never been able to reproduce the reported bug on YouTube. Is this still an issue?
