1244708 - Add sorting capability to bookmarks

Several recent and even older Google Play Store (and SUMO) comments have suggested users would like to have a sorting feature.

I'm currently thinking of sorting by

URL
Date added

References in a separate Excel spreadsheet if needed.

I don't think we should jump on this bug too quickly. We have a plan to add a "Recently Bookmarked" folder, which would handle a use case for generic sorting.

Searching is probably more important than sorting… and search results will be intrinsically sorted, so perhaps two birds with one stone.

I haven't seen a bug filed on this - we should do that.

Darrin has the "recent bookmarks" concept in the Mobile Panels Design mocks:

He also has a few "folders" in the Bookmarks panel:

I was combining the two ideas. Maybe Darrin has thoughts on the folder vs a change to Top Sites.

Well, I filed bug 1245174 for a discussion. I could morph that to "create a way to easily access recent bookmarks".
