Running both Firefox 43 and Dev Edition 46.0a2. In Dev Edition I cannot see tabs from other devices. In 43 I can see the option and the tabs from Android, but not from Dev Edition. In Dev Edition I cannot see Android or 43. I tried signing out of Sync and signing back in within the browser. I tried signing out of Sync and signing back in at http://accounts.firefox.com/ instead, and then quitting and restarting dev edition, but did not work. Still no access to tabs on other devices withing dev edition.
Can you please follow the instructions at http://bit.ly/q6fBL1 and upload the sync error log from devedition here?

Thanks for the link. Happy to do it the right way. Uploading log now.

Something is very confused here :( I suspect this log includes your attempt to login directly via accounts.firefox.com.. Could you please: * Open Preferences -> Sync and ensure no user is logged in - hit the "disconnect" button if it is showing logged in and restart the browser. * Sign in to your Sync account via Sync Prefs - do no hit accounts.firefox.com directly. * Let sync complete, then check about:sync-log and upload any new logs that were created during this process. That might help me get a handle on what is going on Thanks!

Done - and I believe sync has completed, but I do not see a new log yet. Is there a way to force that?

(In reply to bcohen from comment #5) > Done - and I believe sync has completed, but I do not see a new log yet. Is > there a way to force that? If you use about:config to set the preference "services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess" to true, you should find success logs appear too - although if that is the case there's probably nothing particularly interesting there as Sync thinks it worked just fine. Can't hurt to see it though :)
OK. > If you use about:config to set the preference > "services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess" to true, you should find > success logs appear too - although if that is the case there's probably > nothing particularly interesting there as Sync thinks it worked just fine. > Can't hurt to see it though :) I set logOnSuccess to true, went into Sync Prefs and disconnected sync, and then logged back in as directed (Sign in to your Sync account via Sync Prefs - do no hit accounts.firefox.com directly) Uploading the new log now.
This is the 2nd sync log that was generated after setting logOnSuccess to True in about:config.
That looks like a successful Sync and that bookmarks and history were sucked down from the server and applied locally. After this step is your other profile still missing information?
Yes - it's missing. I cannot see tabs from any other devices (either 44 or Android) while in Dev Edition, and on my instance of 44 I cannot see tabs from Dev Edition (but I can see tabs from my Android).
That's strange - can you try syncing that other profile again? In that log I see one tab from this device being uploaded so other devices can see them, and also: 1454459558741 Sync.Store.Tabs DEBUG Adding remote tabs from bcohen's Firefox on bcohen-23609 1454459558742 Sync.Store.Tabs DEBUG Adding remote tabs from Firefox on Nexus 5X So it sure *looks* like it is working as expected - so sadly I'm starting to run out of ideas :(
Well... halfway there? Hmm. Those are the right device names for me. I tried * disconnect on both dev edition and 44 at the same time and then re-sync * full uninstall of dev edition and reinstall * changing device names on both instances But still don't see the Tabs from other devices item under History. HOWEVER - I do now see a history of the tabs accessed on other devices underneath the options. I.e. you can see the top entry for Bugzilla which was accessed from 44, not Dev Edition. So something is definitely making it through, but the menu item for it is still missing. Oh well. :)
:bcohen your History menu doesn't show you your Synced tabs. You need to click on Synced Tabs, which takes you to an interface that shows your Synced Tabs organized by device. For < 47, this will open a page called about:sync-tabs. In >= 47, this will open a new Synced Tabs sidebar. In 45, there is also a toolbar button you can add to your toolbar and menu panel via the customize feature. Please let us know if you have problems viewing your Synced Tabs via these mechanisms.
