I tried to pin this on something this morning, but apparently the frequency isn't high enough to do so without a whole lot of retriggering.

Vladimir, thank you for the info.  I just attached two patches in bug 1241692, another orange on the same test.  I hope those patches could help your work.

Vladimir, just for your info.  I did a try with your patches on current trunk (as of Feb. 8).  The result seems good.  Though I've never checked that those two patches for bug 1241692 fixed the failure.
