Affected versions: 44.0.1 (Build ID: 20160204162354), 45 beta 3 (Build ID: 20160204142810), latest Aurora 46.0a2 and Nightly 47.0a1 (from 2016-02-04)
Affected platforms: Windows 7 x64, Mac OS X 10.8, Ubuntu 12.04 x86

Steps to reproduce:
Prequisites: Existing Firefox account with 67+ characters. No Display name set.
1. Launch Firefox with a clean profile
2. Click on one of the available Sync buttons (e.g. about:home, about:preferences#sync, menu panel, Tools).
3. Sign in with an existing account.
4. Go to about:preferences#sync and click "manage Account"
5. Click on Display name, enter a name and click Change button.

Expected result: E-mail is properly displayed (truncated as before setting a name.)

Actual result: E-mail exceeds the designated space.

Additional notes:
1. Reproducible with Nightly from 2015-02-01 - not a recent regression; will investigate further.
2. Screenshot attached.
Also reproducible with Firefox 4.0.1 - not a regression.
