RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1401466

People

(Reporter: Ganesh.Kudva.Groups, Unassigned)

Details

(Whiteboard: [psm-clientauth])

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0
Build ID: 20160207004019

Steps to reproduce:

Our internal company websites have Certificate. I have enabled certificate pop-up.

Actual results:

some times, the certificate dialog are hidden. These cannot be accessed via Task bar or Alt+Tab actions. Once hidden, the browser becomes unusable - all tabs are hijacked. All of the tabs are waiting ... but, the certificate dialog cannot be found. Only way to get out of this situation is to kill Firefox, and re-start.

Expected results:

Certificate dialog must be localized to tab it is related to. Browser should be usable. the Certificate dialog must also not be hidden.

This Certificate dialog behavior is perfect in Chrome browser! But, of course - I would like similar behavior in my favorite Firefox!

Thanks a lot for your help!

I'm assuming this is an issue with how we do client auth (the dialog is modal, I think, which generally prevents any other interaction with the browser).
