Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.8+) Gecko/20020208 BuildID: 2002020803 take a normal email and reply to it, you then selected some text starting from the top (or maybe just after the "blabla wrote:" line) and then press the delete key on the function keypad between keyboard and numerical keypad. all of Mozilla will hang with 100% CPU. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. select an plain text email from the mailer 2. reply to it using the reply button 3. composer come up. 4. Select text from below JimBob wrote: to say the middle of the quoted email 5. press the delete key from the function keypad. 6. Mozilla will hang Actual Results: Mozilla hangs with 100% CPU consumption Expected Results: the elected text to be deleted as far as I can tell, using the backspace works. Still this is really annoying because once this happens your only recourse is to kill the mozilla process which means that you lost all that you typed into your email (you could not select it to save it since mozilla was hung)
It doesn't have to be a selection at the top but it looks like you have to select the first character of a line. Both the backspace and the delete key exhibit the same problem.
And you have to select (starting with the first char of a line) with the mouse. Selecting with keyboard navigation doesn't reproduce this problem.
