Steps to reproduce:

I installed the latest version of Firefox about a hour ago, customized it a little and then I synced my account to have my bookmarks back.But next time I open the browser, it asks me to sync again. First time I thought it was a minor problem, so I logged in again to sync. Unfornutaley


Actual results:

Firefox asks me to sync every time I open it, getting me to the sync page again and again.


Expected results:

I guess it should do nothing except sync correctly?

What extensions do you have installed? It looks like there might be a login manager replacement installed (eg, bug 1166571)

I'm using AdBlock Plus & Webroot Filtering Extension

It might be worth disabling the Webroot extension and see if the problem goes away - a quick google shows this is in a class of extensions that tends to do more harm than good.

If that doesn't fix it, could you please set the preference |services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess| to true via about:config, then restart the browser, then login when prompted and let the sync complete, then attach all logfiles dated since the restart - this should capture when we attempt (but apprently fail) to save the data to the login manager.

I removed the extension and after 2-3 sessions, it seems I don't receive sync error anymore. I hope it stays like this. Thanks everyone for the support.
