1249628 - When I click on the star to save a page on a bookmark, it does not save. None of my new bookmarks are saved, only old ones

Steps to reproduce:

Click the start (Bookmark this page) 


Actual results:

It  does not save the bookmark.  It shows the "star" going into the bookmark file..but when I go there to look it did not save it.


Expected results:

It should have saved the page to my bookmarks.

Could you test:
1) in safe mode:

2) with a fresh profile:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

Are you able to save a bookmark?

NOT reproducible with FF 48.0a1 (2016-04-02):

0. ˋLaunch FF → <alt> → menu Bookmarks → Show all bookmarks'
   » Bookmarks Dialog opens
1. ˋInto find string input line type "1249628"'
   » List of bookmarks vanishes, because this page is not bookmarked
     (if bookmark for this page does exist, please delete bookmark, 
     quit FF and restart with Step 0)
2. ˋOpen this page → <control+d>ˊ
   » small bookmarks-message with [Done] button appears, vanishes after
     few seconds
3. ˋ<alt> → menu Bookmarks → Show all bookmarksˊ
   » Bookmarks Dialog opens
4. ˋInto find string input line type "1249628ˊ
   » List of bookmarks shows 1 hit from Step 2
   » After having deleted find string I can find bookmark at end of folder
     "Bookmarks Menu"

Additional information:
a) A second attempt will not save the bookmark again (and bookmark message will
   not disappear without [Done], because bookmark does already exist.
b) may be reporter simply only checked "all bookmarks" where she expected
   new bookmark, but did not search to find an existing old one?
   If yes this one would be concerning the same issue like 
   "Bug 789468 - Impossible to add new bookmark for URl already bookmarked"

No response, so I close this one for now.
@Reporter: Please feel free to reopen this Bug if you still can reproduce the problem with a current SeaMonkey version and a current OS and if you can contribute a step by step instruction how to reproduce the problem due to <https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines>  (containing every key press and every mouse click) how to reproduce the problem reliably.
