STR: 1) Go to http://people.mozilla.org/~bnicholson/test/loadtest.html. 2) Click the link. about:blank is visible in the URL bar of the new tab until the page starts loading. Interestingly, if I instead command-click the link and quickly switch to the tab, it shows the URL immediately.
Also note that if the load stops through user interaction or because the network disconnects then the URL that was being loaded gets lost.
