User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11) AppleWebKit/601.1.56 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/9.0 Safari/601.1.56
Steps to reproduce:
Open the "New Conversation" window via the menu or keyboard shortcut (Command + T)
Actual results:
The window opens but the search bar has two overlapping placeholders with the values "Start typing to filter" and "Search". The "Search" value is more of a background than a placeholder, and does not disappear when you start typing into the text box.
Expected results:
The search bar should only have one placeholder value, and it should disappear once the user starts typing into the box.

On the behalf of Florian:
Closing bugs related to the Instantbird UI as WONTFIX, as the development of the standalone chat client Instantbird has stopped. Instantbird users are encouraged to migrate to Thunderbird. The user interface of instant messaging in Thunderbird will feel familiar, as the Thunderbird IM support started as a fork of Instantbird.
