I assume this bug is about rejection _reporting_, not rejecting, yes?
Anyway, I agree that it's insane. We've always thought so. Till's new spidermonkey-based implementation doesn't do this. Since that's hopefully landing soon, I think we should band-aid this as described in bug 1257096 comment 4 and move on...
