afaik, we don't test power consumption. We should and it seems there is a tool to do that: http://mobileenerlytics.com/ From the demo I saw at Droidcon, it hooks into the Android Device Monitor and print results there. To do this in automation, they suggested running the analysis during automated tests. They said they're open to feedback, if we decide this is close to working for us but we need a small change.
