We have no mouse support yet. There are no UX specs for it.
If we just need a partial solution for developer, It's possible to make a small patch to make clicking buttons work.
But for advanced features, like editing and scrolling, we need to do it based on UX spec. I'm not sure if we have plan for this. ni Josh.

Hi Joe,
What level of mouse event support are we looking for to enable on Nexus Player?

We could leave this bug to anyone who is interested in. For now, the recommendation is bypass mouse usage until you have remote controller paired:
1. use hardware keyboard to boot-up;
2. use arrow keys to navigate on Home and go to Settings app;
3. use arrow keys to Bluetooth device setup panel and pair with NexusPlayer remote controller.
then you can use remote controller instead. Plug mouse when you want to navigate within Browser app.
