User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0 Build ID: 20160315153207 Steps to reproduce: - Sync does not work at all on a Linux client - On a Microsoft client (8.1 and 10) it works like a charm - Tried Antix Linux 15 (debian), Absolute Linux (slackware) and elementaryOS 0.3.2 (ubuntu). - Already changed my password, reduced it to just numbers and letters and re-logged-in on both clients - Performed maintenance on the working windows 8.1 client with using add-on "Places Maintenance 2.0.1" by clearing places database, bookmarks and history component - Sync on working windows 8.1 client did not reproduce any error visible through sync-log Actual results: please see logfile attached Expected results: sync should work properly on Linux client, but does not work at all

Bug 692386 is a similar report, but I'm not duping it yet as there is an implication that other bug was transient, whereas this bug seems permanent (the URLs involved in that other bug are different, but that's mainly due to changes made to Sync since that was reported). For some reason, your systems are reporting a NS_ERROR_NET_RESET error, which is raised when the server closes the connection unexpectedly. What's strange is that it seems to be happening for all Linux installations you tried - were they all on the same network, and is that the same network where the Windows clients worked correctly? Are there any proxies involved? My linux client works fine, so it's difficult to speculate what the problem could be.

could you tell us more about your particular network environment (isp, type of connection, router, etc...)?

Thanks for analyzing my problem. My tests were all on the same network and it is the same network, where the Windows clients work correctly. There are no proxies involved. My ISP is unitymedia (cable), wired 1GBit ethernet connection to a Technicolor TC7200 router with default settings.
