The current bug entry flow for new bugzilla users guides web developers (from who Core wants high-quality bugs) into filing bugs into Firefox and not Core, so the bugs are now much less likely to end up seen by the right people. See the attached screencap. The guided bug entry screen should be changed so filing a bug found on a site one is developing is more prominent. There are two related bugs requesting general changes, but this is a specific change for the guided entry screen.

:shorlander, this bug could use some UX help with how we can rearrange this view.

Bug 1050224 is highly relevant and seems to have patches that fell through the cracks.
Depends on: 1050224

I need to see if the patches in 1050224 which :dylan made are still able to be merged. For now I'm leaving 1050224 as related but not a blocker. The previous two attempts to make changes to this bug entry form stalled out. So I'm asking for a change of limited scope which I can measure the results from (misfiled bug rates) and build from there.
No longer depends on: 1050224

:dylan, are the patches in 1050224 still relevant?

From my perspective, I would much rather a more comprehensive set of directions to take the guided bug entry form. The input in Bug 1050224 is valuable to a degree, but from implementing part of it (and the relating bugs) the whole adventure felt like a case of "too many cooks". So let's close that one. If we can find some time from a UX person, I suspect the most fruitful use of time would be a meeting with you, myself or dkl, and the aforementioned UX person.

After discussing with Marc, Dylan, and the Bug Program team we'll keep this open but it will be a lower priority until the modal editor and triage changes are done, and then we'll revisit priorities.
