1265550 - Trying to focus on text field sometimes selects it instead

Nightly Fennec on Android 4.2.2 on a Nexus 4. Sometimes when I tap to put focus into a text field it selects the field instead, sort of... see attached screenshot. There's handles but nothing is obviously highlighted. In the screenshot I had tried tapping on the Whiteboard field.

Haven't noticed this with my n5x or N7 using current build of nightly.... quick monkey testing doesn't repro ...

Interesting you don't have a keyboard active / visible, and the <input> field has no blue focus-border.

I have Android 6.0.1 on both devices so I'm getting the new FloatingActionBar vs your screenshot's original View, though that shouldn't be a factor.

I use these custom settings [0], but switching them around doesn't repro the bug.

However ... ! I can "create" this situation by a little judicious long-pressing of content then positioning carets aounrd the "outside" of the the |keywords:| <input> field [1]

) Zoom in to make it easier to repro
) Tap onto the bottom line / margin of the input field
    (password input in this example)

Ok, STR caught on tape!  [0] ... Basically:

) Open FF first time from fresh install
) navigate to b.m.o and open a bug
) sign in entering username / password for the first time
) Let doorhanger REMEMBER password after grayed out page loads
) Tap into "Whiteboard" input

) Observe results
