Steps to reproduce:

Occasionally (a few times a day), the address bar will lose focus and send the request midway through typing. This happens both on an instance with a few add-ons and the one at my work without any add-ons.

It's very annoying, especially since sometimes a request will either be malformed (e.g. performing an action with the wrong parameter), or it will be an inappropriate search because it's using part of the what I intended to type.

I do not see any pattern as to when it happens. Sometimes it waits, sometimes it doesn't. I don't believe I could be accidentally clicking, because my mouse is almost never over the load arrow at the right and I don't get any accidentally clicking in other applications. I have an older Mac (2009 model running 10.9.5.)

I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this.

I'm also seeing this across multiple versions, at least 45-48 currently, but it's been around for a while. It's also happening on multiple platforms, Linux, Windows, Mac, all with different add-ons and plugins.

Not only will it send a half typed URL, it will also do the opposite and ignore ENTER after typing has finished. It seems to compound badly as well. If it starts loading a half typed URL, usually by calling search, and I cancel that and refocus to resume typing, it steals focus again or reloads the URL for search again and ignores me.

I'd just like to add that I have also observed the behavior Steven mentioned, namely (1) it also doesn't load sometimes when pressing enter, and (2) when it happens, it can happen repeatedly and then not happen again for a while.
