From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.8+) Gecko/20020219 BuildID: 2002021915 Until recently, the page in the URL scrolled with almost no slow-down (it uses a white-pixel-and-transparent-pixel GIF file to make it look like the background is shining thru, which gave Mozilla a bit of a headache, but nothing terrible). With 2002021915, rendering is painfully slow. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit URL 2. Scroll Actual Results: Mozilla slows to a crawl. Expected Results: Should've scrolled without any problems.
there are some animations on the page. Would be interesting to see if it improves with the recent checkin for bug 125025. On Linux i see X jump to 97% while i scroll the page. It's only at around 4-5% before scrolling though. This might be a dup of something...regardless.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the recent fixing of bug 122996 (fixed on the 19th)?
Another thing: I reported seeing this on Win2k (at work). On my home machine (Win98), using 2002022003, I have no scrolling problems.
Still seeing this on 2002022503, Win2k (again, no problems with same build on Win98). Perhaps it has something to do with the videocard? I'm using a 32MB ATI Rage 128 Ultra on the machine on which I see this problem.
I believe it has something to do with fixed backgrounds, check this other site: http://www.nypl.org/styleguide/css/guidelines3.html Same slow scrolling (for me anyways), and the only thing it has in common with www.brainstormsandraves.com is the fixed background (as far as I can see).
