I have also experienced, once, my Mozilla Status Bar disappearing and not being restorable unless I flip into full-screen mode and back

I am seeing a similar (the same thing?) on Windows 95 with build 2002040203. It seems to occur most often after a download (I don't know whether that is relevant) and I find that I cannot get the taskbar to pop up (I have it set to auto-hide). I usually end up having to use the Windows key to get the taskbar to show.
this might only be happening when I've got my Windows taskbar at a certain size. when you rezise that taskbar it jumps in incremental steps. I can repeat this bug when I have it at 3 incremental steps high (which gives me enough room to have minimised applications listed below quicklaunch icons) but not 2 incrmental steps
I experinced the same problem in Windows 98 (first edition). I had already closed mozilla and noticed the taskbar missing. I started mozilla back up and maximized. This solved my problem. I am using build 2002051006.
I can reproduce this bug on Release 1.3 w. Win98SE.

Unfortunately this bug is targeted at the wrong problem. The problem is not that the taskbar would not be re-drawn on exit of fullscreen mode, it is that the taskbar should never disappear upon entrance to fullscreen mode. Instead fullscreen mode should simply take z-index precedence over the taskbar. I can illustrate this easily because my machine has dual displays. 1) Place your taskbar on your primary display. 2) Open a browser window and place it on the secondary display. 3) Enter fullscreen mode. 4) Notice that your taskbar, which is on your primary display and should be still visible, is gone. This is a large problem for users with multiple displays. Mozilla is attacking the fullscreen problem in the wrong way. The taskbar should not be hidden when fullscreen mode is entered, but rather fullscreen mode should visually supercede the taskbar. I have tested and verified this behavior on the following platforms: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030729 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1
To get mozilla to restore itself properly: 1. Bring up the taskbar 2. Right click on the offending mozilla window 3. Click on Minimize 4. Repeat step 2 5. Click on restore
I think I had the same problem: Entered into full screen mode. Try to make hidden windows taskbar appear by moving mouse to bottom of screen. Does not work. Press F11 to exit full screen mode but top bar continues to be cut off.

I can't reproduce. Do you still see this when using a current version?

Firefox doesn't have the 'Classic' skin that Mozilla exhibited this issue with when I reported it 12 years ago.
