User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/50.0.2661.87 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: Native resolution is 1920 x 1080 using 125% DPI on windows 7. Loaded Firefox in 100% mode. Actual results: Resolution on firefox is now 1536 x 864 and images are not as sharp Expected results: I had expected to see 1920 x 1080 just as I do in Chrome. One of the websites I work on renders larger on 1920 resolution on other browsers, however firefox is determining the website as one would in 1535 x 864 resolution. Only ways to fix this are to reset the dpi% back to 100% or from what I understand go in to about:config and change the dpi from -1 to 1. I don't understand why the ctrl +- isn't used to control this rather than forcing the resolution down because the system dpi has been scaled to 125%. Perhaps this is the way forward and even Chrome will follow suit in time.
This seems to be duplication of Bug 809788. (see Bug 809788 comment #26 )
Yes I agree with Alice. Do you feel like the bug above is the same?

Personally no I don't think it's the same, but happy to be told otherwise. It basically comes down to me having my windows 7 at 125% dpi, but instead of the browser just increasing the equivalent elements by 125% like the rest of the windows ui, it has decided to shrink my resolution from 1920 to 1536 (but only in firefox). If windows lowered the resolution of your screen by the same because of increasing the dpi from 100% to 125%, would that seem acceptable to you? I can understand why Firefox have decided to go down this route, to basically respect the end users ui zoom preferences and default the firefox window at essentially 125%. I think it would be much better to allow the end user to keep it at the native resolution and instead allow the user to just ctrl +-.
