1270425 - After a server error (Xmail server 1.27) while sending an e-mail, the message goes to Sent folder, but it wasn't sent

Steps to reproduce:

Thunderbird 45.0 Spanish (Spain).
After compose a message and try to send it. Sometimes the server (in this case, an XMail 1.27 server) gives an error: "Server too busy, retry later" (see attached jpg). The server error appears occasionally, is a DoS error.


Actual results:

The message window closes and the message is saved at the Sent folder, but the message was not sent really.


Expected results:

The message windows should not close and then I can try to send later, when the e-mail server goes up again.

There might be a better bug than bug 780124, but this gets us pretty close
