This was split off from bug 94323. There are two methods on nsILocalFile which I
don't think belong. Also, it would be really nice to be able to find out certain
things about the OS file system from script.

Here's the mentioned service. Getting reveal() and launch() from there to here
should be a cut'n'paste job.

This ain't going to land prior to mozilla 1.0. If you are still interesting
this this kind of service, it will compete with a frozen nsIFile/nsILocalFile
interface which includes this APIs
