Chrome already removed support for secp521r1 curve, Firefox should do the same.

Telemetry also shows that it is used in <0.000002% handshakes, which is a small enough to warrant removal.

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1129077 is about secp521r1 curve support in NSS. NSS might want to keep support for as many ciphers as possible, since Firefox is not the only user of NSS.

My bug is about secp521r1 curve support in Firefox.
Bug 1129077 is about making changes to PSM, which is part of Gecko, which is the platform Firefox runs on:
