From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:0.9.8) Gecko/20020204 BuildID: 2002020406 By selecting an option in the select on second processor option mozilla crashes Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. go to compaq's site 2. browse to the page (http://www.smb.compaq.com/dstore/default.asp?page=ctoBases&ProductLineId=431&Family_Id=605) 3. attempt to select custom hardware options Actual Results: hard crash Expected Results: not crashed :)
I don't see anything on that page called "custom hardware options" to select. Please provide exact user actions for step 3.
Component: XP Apps → HTML Form Controls
I am sorry I guess the url didn't carry over, but click on the "Configure" button/image. It will take you to the custom configure page that has the form that is causing the crash. (I tried it from Linux Mozilla and it is too)
Reporter: I wasn't able to reproduce the crash using the procedure described. Since crashes are a difficult thing to reproduce, please try these steps and let us know your results. 1. Download and install the latest Mozilla daily build with Talkback software. (Note the build number in any comments.) If necessary, back up your mail and settings and start from scratch with a clean install. 2. Clear all non-essential startup programs (Run msconfig.exe). An essential startup program is anything that is absolutely necessary to duplicate the procedure that leads to a crash. 3. Try to get the program to crash again. If Mozilla doesn't crash again, enable your startup programs individually until you can single out one that causes the instability in Mozilla. If Mozilla crashes again without any startup programs, make a note of that in this bug and keep your Talkback info.
