The about-sync addon at https://github.com/mhammond/aboutsync wants to be able to use the bookmark validator so it can show details about validation failures in a way that we can action them (or at least comprehend and validate them). This probably requires some fairly small changes to the validation code and some changes to the addon to leverage them. This bug blocks bug 1273234, so we can verify it no longer reports false positives for our own sync accounts.
