There should be a way for vendors to register the version of their plug-ins with
Mozilla in addition to name, description, mime types, etc.
This will allow for web pages to prompt users to upgrade to a more recent
version of the plug-in and will help the browser tell the user what version
plug-in the user has installed rather than having the vendor tell the user the
version via plug-in description.
