This bug was filed from the Socorro interface and is report bp-87323616-db18-40a6-81f4-e12c82160520. ============================================================= ¡Hola! Got this crash when restarting for a Nightly update. ¡Hola! This keeps appearing on Nightly restarts to update. This is what shows in the terminal Nightly runs from in case it is relevant: ###!!! [Child][MessageChannel] Error: (msgtype=0xA00027,name=PNecko::Msg_RemoveRequestContext) Channel closing: too late to send/recv, messages will be lost ExceptionHandler::GenerateDump cloned child ExceptionHandler::WaitForContinueSignal waiting for continue signal... 10532 ExceptionHandler::SendContinueSignalToChild sent continue signal to child ¡Gracias!
Crash signatures like this aren't really helpful as long as we do not have symbols for the libraries like libpthread - and those would probably need to be submitted to the Mozilla servers by the Linux distro that created the builds.
¡Hola Alexander! I see you're a member of https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-mozilla-daily/+members#active Is https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1274758#c3 something you could help with from the Ubuntu side? ¡Gracias! Alex

I got this crash last night with Firefox 46.0.1 in an Ubuntu 16.04 VM running on my iMac: bp-9119d1a1-4dbc-44a0-9e5f-4f2412160608 Looking at more reports it appears this is mostly an issue with Thunderbird (83% with Thunderbird 38.8.0 vs 11% with Firefox 46.0.1). Supersearch is currently down but it appears that all the reports come for Ubuntu.

Just to be clear, Thunderbird crashes will mostly (or all) be related to bug 1316927, and unrelated to any Firefox crashes. And FWIW most of the Firefox crashes of the past 3 months are version 47, with a big drop off at end of October, so either the signature changed for those who were crashing most, or the cause of the crash for those users is gone. https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/signature/?product=Firefox&signature=shutdownhang%20%7C%20libpthread-2.23.so%400xd3a0&date=%3E%3D2016-09-10T18%3A00%3A38.000Z&date=%3C2017-03-10T18%3A00%3A38.000Z#graphs I suggest this bug can be closed

Summary: Crash in shutdownhang | libpthread-2.23.so@0xd3a0 → Firefox Crash in shutdownhang | libpthread-2.23.so@0xd3a0
¡Hola Wayne! Still found https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/78dc4549-1d98-4e34-aa7d-da7992170328 on the most recent release, but at 28 crashes in the past week this is pretty small all things consider. I'd defer to your expertise on the closure of https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1274758 ¡Gracias! Alex
Flags: needinfo?(alex_mayorga)
