Steps to reproduce:

OS: Debian testing (64bit)
Firefox Linux 64bit standalone

normally start FF


Actual results:

Either buttons are gone (Text visible, button graphic invisible - bookmarks panel cramped, button graphic gone)

OR

checkboxes and radiobuttons are invisible

depending on GTK theme


Expected results:

all should be displayed normally

already tried clearing settings in 
/home/<user>/.mozilla
/home/<user>/.config
/home/<user>/.local
/home/<user>/.mate*
and every other folder I could find, which would seem plausible. So I got a brandnew Debian testing MATE and a new FF-profile. Still no buttons...

BTW, scrollbars are invisible as well!

That suggests that GTK 3.20 is not compatible with the GTK theme.
It is not compatible with most themes.

If gtk3-widget-factory renders the buttons fine with this theme, then please reopen and indicate the theme.

This should be addressed by bug 1262136.

No change in nightly. Meaning no scrollbars, no buttons, no checkboxes etc.

I've changed my GTK themes in MATE, and on some themes the buttons appear but no checkboxes, or the other way around, but mostly none of them.

I wonder, if this shows up on a QT-environment, like KDE. But I'm not keen on installing such a heavy package. Anyone know of some other (lighter) DE on QT?
