Middle-click "paste" feature is annoying.

My mouse, like many mice, has a "button 2" which is also a scroll wheel. If I
am scrolling, it is fairly likely that I will occasionally accidentally send a
button-2.
Mozilla treats this click as guidance to take whatever's in the paste buffer,
append ".com" to it, and announce that there's no such site. Occasionally, if
there's a URL in the paste buffer, Mozilla jumps to that URL.
I do not want this. I recognize that this might occasionally be a useful
feature, if I were doing it on purpose, but I'm not, and it's such a common
error on mice with scroll wheels that I think it's probably a loss.
On observation, I note that the scroll wheel only works when the mouse is in a
given frame. Perhaps this feature should only be enabled when the mouse is over
the toolbar, navigation bar, etcetera?
ugh ... is it a dup of bug 85667 ?
