[Steps to reproduce]:
1. Start Aurora with new profile
2. Go to Options
3. See the "Always check Firefox Developer Edition is your default browser" checkbox
[Expected result]:
"Always check Firefox Developer Edition is your default browser" checkbox is active and is not grayed out.
[Actual result]:
After 1 sec the "Always check Firefox Developer Edition is your default browser" checkbox becomes inactive (grayed out) but the check mark is present.
[Additional notes]: This bug was filed after a discussion on bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1275039
This is a regression, I will try to narrow down a regression range.

Unfortunately I couldn't run mozregression on Win XP. I did a manual check to see on what build it started to reproduce.
the last good build 2016-05-28
first bad build 2016-05-29
This issue can be reproduced only on Win XP, I tried on Win 7 but I couldn't reproduce it.

Jaws, do you know if there has been any changes in the code that checks for the default browser lately?

That's bug 1189038. Ovidiu, is Developer Edition set as your default browser?

You are right it's a duplicate, but I see that was resolved fixed, should I open it?

No, this is working as designed. If Firefox is set as the default browser we want Firefox to prompt the user if some other browser takes over.
