1278184 - Implement improved /new redesigned download page

In Bug 1267561 we rolled out the winning version for a redesigned /new download page, which can be seen here:

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

We now need to implement and test an improvement on the last revision. Designs and assets are to follow.

Alex - please use the copy in the section that says "this is the latest as of 6/6"

The copy under the section "this is the latest as of 6/6" is the same as what we implemented last sprint. 

There are other strings for example under "[UP-TO-DATE PAGE]" which are new. Should I ignore these, or update as well? 

Looking at the doc it seems like there is also a list of links for up-to-date users that differs from the current page.

This only seems to cover the default page state, what about the other page states covered in the new design? (Screenshots attached in Comment 7).

With:  Enjoy online freedom.

[out of date]
Replace:  Update your Firefox to stay fast and safe.
With:  Update your Firefox for the latest in speed and privacy.

No copy changes to the up-to-date states.

Copy edits per our discussion this morning. More simple than we discussed.

On state A:
Revert back to earlier update copy due to l10n: 
Change “You’re browsing freely with the latest version of Firefox”
to
“Congrats. You’re using the latest version of Firefox.”

On state B:
We're doing an analysis of this page now. In a few sprints, we'll likely want to make some changes. For now, the copy you have (headline Browse Freely) is adequate. No changes.

Does this mean on state B the tag line needs to remain "You’re browsing freely with the latest version of Firefox"? (I assume no, but i need to be explicit for clarity).

Also how soon might a few sprints be? We're about to localise this text for over 100 locales, so if things might change again very soon it should perhaps be something that we need to discuss with the l10n team.

Good catch. COnsistent on both states of the page:
“Congrats. You’re using the latest version of Firefox.”

On the second piece - not sure. We're researching who is landing on this page and why the refresh rate is so low. If I had to make a guess, 2-3 sprints... but really don't know.
