I was recently trying to determine if this change had a perf impact:
https://treeherder.mozilla.org/#/jobs?repo=try&revision=740d46056ef5&selectedJob=22221403
I compared it to its mozilla-inbound parent and found some big differences:
https://treeherder.mozilla.org/perf.html#/compare?originalProject=mozilla-inbound&originalRevision=9eeb5a616d4a&newProject=try&newRevision=740d46056ef573d85be789670df5594fdef5d7e2&framework=1
But looking at the graphs shows try is consistently slower on these tests:
https://treeherder.mozilla.org/perf.html#/graphs?series=%5Bmozilla-inbound,64ebe81d65563d0fda7288a1f4fedbe5c3d9363b,1,1%5D&series=%5Btry,64ebe81d65563d0fda7288a1f4fedbe5c3d9363b,1,1%5D&highlightedRevisions=9eeb5a616d4a&highlightedRevisions=740d46056ef5&timerange=86400
If I compare to a try build without my patch, I get no significant differences.
Will asked me to file a bug since this is unexpected.

I have no idea why, but I filed bug 1274018 for this a while back.
