Details

From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.8) Gecko/20020204
BuildID: 2002020406

In a few newsgroups at news.viecon.com, I get threads that by their icon, and
being underlined, indicate new messages in the thread, but when I expand the
thread, there are no new messages. The new message count also takes these
"ghost" messages into account, until I do a Get Message from the toolbar, then
the number of new messages indicated drops, often substantially. The state of
these threads appears to persist between Mozilla sessions.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to news.viecon.com
2.Subscribe to the bentley.microstation.v8.general
3.read some messages
4.re-enter the newsgroup and find threads where it looks there are new message
but are none

This could be either bug 59681 or bug 64476 - can you tell me if you have View |
Messages | Threads with Unread checked (enabled).
No, I have View | Messages | All enabled, not Threads with Unread.
I just had a good look at bug 59681, which didn't show up when I did a search
before, and it's the same. Sorry!
Thanks for reporting back!
