User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:47.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/47.0
Build ID: 20160604131506

Steps to reproduce:

Tried to use Firefox's hardware acceleration on an Intel Q35 Express on Vista x86. I have tried force-enable and updating to latest drivers, but none work.

I have a Dell Optiplex 755. It is a 64-bit processor, running x86, which might be an issue.

My chip is, according to Vista's system info:
Name: Intel(R) Q35 Express Chipset Family
PNP Device ID:PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_29B2&SUBSYS_02111028&REV_02\3&172E68DD&0&10
Adapter Type: Intel(R) GMA 3100, Intel Corporation compatible
Driver Version: 7.15.10.1472

Firefox is asking for 7.15.10.1666, which exists on Intel's website - http://intel.ly/28POyBi - but the driver installer produces this message - http://imgur.com/o7cQMaC
Installing the latest drivers from Dell's website works fine, but it installs 1472.

"Display" section from Windows System Information exported and attached.

Actual results:

No matter what I try, GPU drivers are blacklisted. And the lack of hardware acceleration seems to cause the occasional black screen where Firefox's screen doesn't refresh, and moving the mouse around causes things to appear. It is extremely annoying, and I have to quit and restart to fix it temporarily. And at this point, Chrome is not an option.

Expected results:

Firefox should accept the drivers and enable acceleration. Or something to stop the black screen issues.

Devin, does it happen also on nightly?

Sorry, I forgot to close this. I managed to fix the issue (I had to uninstall the OEM drivers first), AND I got a new PC, so it isn't relevant anymore.
