I am not sure how the cron is doing the sync but in bug 1146897, it seems that we are using:

Somehow some HTML made its way into the wrong place. I removed the files and re-ran the script that generates that site and now it's fine. I'll modify the script so that it removes existing files first and therefore will hopefully auto-recover from this sort of thing in the future.

Script improved to autorecover from junk on the next run.
