carbon macho release build (been this way for a few days now) type into the url bar so auto complete drop down appears, all the of text is overwritten on a single line.
ok, just played with it some more. it only happes when the drop down only contains search. if it has more things, it seems to be ok. i can't completely tell, but it may actually be that for one update, the text ment for the url bar just get's over written into the dropdown, as it can sometimes fix itself up with an update (mouse over the serch entry and then back up to the url bar)

i see this too. the interesting thing to note is that the mach-o build still has the outliner column headers in the dropdown, while the cfm build does not. hewitt, you gave me a patch for cfm and it worked. i wonder why we still get them in mach-o. that could be why the first line is confused, it's being pushed down by the column headers. anyone have ideas?

I think pink was right on, it only shows up where there is one auto complete, and the header seems to takes up the space so the two get overwritten. if the autocomplete has a full 5+, there isn't a problem. when it's in this screwed up mode, you can confirm it has two entries by using the up/down arrows on the keyboard to walk it.
1 year later... WFM 20030313 OSX. It took a while to find an autocomplete with only one item, and I turned on show search. It displays in its own little rectangle.
