Reproduction:
1. Go to <http://mxr.mozilla.org>
OR
2. Go to <http://lxr.mozilla.org>
Actual result:
Redirect to <https://hardhat.cdn.mozilla.net/en-US/outages.html> showing a construction helmet and a message:
"
Repairs in Progress
The service you’re looking for is unavailable at the moment. We’ll be back up and running again before long, so please try again soon. Thanks for your patience!
"
This is a lie. This message appears since a long time, it has not been "up and running again before long". Asking me to "try again soon" and for "patience" is pointless and misleading.
Expected result:
<http://mxr.mozilla.org> redirects to the corresponding <http://dxr.mozilla.org> counterpart.
Link types that should work:
* Source code files (MOST IMPORTANT): http://lxr.mozilla.org/seamonkey/source/mailnews/compose/src/nsMsgCompUtils.cpp#2018
* Filename search http://mxr.mozilla.org/comm-central/find?string=%s
* Full text search: http://mxr.mozilla.org/comm-central/search?string=%s
Same for lxr and mxr.
Importance:
This breaks
* all my bookmarked links
* links on third party websites
* URLs in source code, e.g. when citing the origin of modified source code (!)
It's *FAR FAR FAR* easier to set up a few HTTP redirects than changing thousands of links and URLs.

Hi Ben,
I think it is getting covered in Bug 1285657. Though it is from the bugzilla side that is covering that bug instead of HTTP redirects by mozilla itself.

Obviously bug 1285657 will not fix his bookmarks.
That said, mxr.mozilla.org no longer shows the "Repairs in Progress" message. It suggests a corresponding dxr URL. Is this bug still valid?
