=============================================================
Crash Reason 	EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ

firefox crashed while i was upgrading the NVidia driver. Screen went black while the driver was replaced by windows, and when it returned, Firefox was gone.. i had a firefox crash reporter window on screen, instead of the browser.

Honestly, I don't think there is something to fix here. It's better to close applications when updating the graphics driver then reboot the machine. Firefox crashed probably because HWA stopped to work correctly during the driver update.
nvidia releases driver updates almost monthly lately... before Firefox 47 i used to install the driver updates without stopping Firefox and it didn't crash on me even once... at most i would discover it had resized its window to 640x480, but it didn't crash.
Device-reset related. This one looks like it'd need process isolation to be recoverable.
