User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:48.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/48.0 Build ID: 20160706215822 Steps to reproduce: I am using Firefox 48 beta 6 on OS X 10.11.5 I was reviewing/commenting on a Word document using Office 365 Word Online using the "Comments" section. I was posting a comment on a document using the comment text box. I entered the phrase "It's a problem" Actual results: The text "It" was entered in the text box. Then, the find sidebar popped up on the left hand side of the screen and "s a problem" was entered. it appears the quick find in links behaviour has been given precedence over text entry in a text box by either Office 365 or Firefox 48 beta 6. I frequently review documents and this is the first time I have seen this happen! I upgraded from Firefox 47 late last week, so it may be any Firefox 48 beta that is causing this behaviour. Expected results: I expected the text "It's a problem" to be added to the text box.

It's not clear if this is a bug in FF or in Office 365. Moving to Core::Editor since that's more appropriate until the issue is investigated.

I cannot reproduce this on Firefox Nightly 53. Could you still reproduce this?

I don't have Nightly 53 installed but could reproduce on FF 50.0 and 50.0.1. I will download the Nightly to check.

Can confirm this also happens on nightly (53.0a1/20161128030212) - have tested in normal and safe mode. It might be helpful to add that I'm viewing the document, not editing it in browser. I'm opening it in as usual, then just using the "Comments" option at the top left to add Comments. UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.12; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0

I mean the top right. The other left.

confirmed. ['] is assigned as [find] on Word online, but even if text box of comment is focused, Word opens find box. This issue is word's problem.

:miketaylr, do you have a contact of Office 365 (Word online?) When using Reading View of Word Online, ['] key is assigned as opening "Find" sidebar. So even if text box for comment has the focus, typing "'" causes opening "Find" sidebar. When using Chrome, ['] key isn't assigned as it.

Hi Makoto, Karl has had good relationships/contacts with Microsoft in the past. Do you have access to Office 365? It would be cool if we could identify the specific bits of code that are causing this issue (it wants me to give it a credit card before I can try it...)
