STR:
1. Open https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17tBcHxTQWR-o1qJxAtZOc2z-puNlEzMyMMrnjDKJcgs/edit
2. Switch between sheets (bottom left)
Note: the first time we switch to a sheet, it's slow, but it's expected because the sheet is loading. But switching to an already-loaded sheet should be fast.
Even for empty sheets like we have in this file, it's slower in Firefox (on my computer: 300ms-1.5s) than in Chrome (100ms-200ms).
I use Firefox Nightly 50 20160717030211 on Linux.
Compared with Chrome 52.0.2743.60 beta.

It seems to be computer-dependent as padenot doesn't see the issue.
I'm using the Intel-based GPU from i7-3520M with the i915 driver.

Are you using hw acceleration? I get horrible results like this (often far worse) when I have hw acceleration enabled on my Linux box.
If so, try disabling it and check if the difference (and variance) persists. (Preferences/Advanced/General/Use hw acceleration when available)

Yes it's enabled. I'll see how this looks without it.

OK, TBH I'm not sure anymore of this bug, even with or without the pref.
Let me close it until I find a more compelling testcase.
