Steps to reproduce:

I searched but cannot find a test form on the web that shows this problem, but it occurs for a Library ILL employee here at UC Irvine in VDX, https://ucill.vdxhost.com/vdx/ - and that requires a login.

VDX autofills a field with remembered data. This was solved by checking "Always use private browsing mode".

Possibly the VDX code is inserting text there that is blank when using private browsing mode?


Actual results:

a textbox was autofilled even though "Remember search and form history" was unchecked.


Expected results:

the textbox should remain blank.

We really need a public testcase if the login is private, without that, it will hard to debug to know if it's a real issue or not.

Submitting a bug is fine, but it would be nice to have a public testcase/access, because without that, it's not really actionable.

Hi Ted, If you can provide us with a test case and temp/guest login, I can test this. If that is not possible, then please update this bug and I will close this out as Invalid.

Thanks Michelle, I cannot provide a test case and/or temp/guest login, and in addition, we found a workaround:
by checking "Always use private browsing mode".

So go ahead an close this out- but I would use not Invalid, but "could not find test case" or "requires login credentials to verify"- that being said- I do not know if this is a Firefox error or a VDX error- it very well may be a VDX error.
