Details

In the context of making preference disk writes asynchronous and batched (see bug 789945), we have to decide how often to write. We don't know how often we do preference writes now, at least not through telemetry. We should have some. We have to decide what to measure - number of writes per session, per usage hours, time between writes, normalized against idleness, etc.

Perhaps this doesn't need to be done now that we have bug 1361842 resolved?
